Yellow Spring

with one comment

The weather continues to be-a-wack. Today the highs were in the mid 80s(F (27C)) and in two nights, the temperature is expected to below freezing, The butterflies are about, and I believe I heard a hummingbird today!

As far as the flowers, the blood-root blooms are now receding (and the ground is dry), and the trout lilies are out across the forest floor and have begun to bloom.

The grape muscari hyacinths are just starting to bloom as are the Perwinkle and Anemone Pulsatilla. And my King Alfred daffodils out front are approcaching their peak.  I will add pictures later.
