Rhododendrons in bloom

leave a comment »

My small leaf (ledipotes) (PJM variety) rhodos bloomed 3 weeks earlier and can seen as a dense bush of fushia. What is not emerging are my large leaf (elepidotes) (Northern Light Series), which is a dense bush of large blooms.

So besides the large rhodos, what is in bloom?

  • Stella D’Oro Daylilies (on the south garden)
  • Iris (full out) and the Red Poppies emerging.
  • Cranebills Germaniums
  • Lupins.
  • and blue Bachelor Buttons – that self seed “where-ever”.

Small and easy to miss, but the blueberry blooms are coming to a close. Now, it is wait for the fruit to ripen.
