early morning – Coneflowers

with 2 comments

Yesterday (August 1), we saw another 1+” of cool rain, in keeping with this summer of wet.  Never-the-less, most days have been “awesome” and this morning the ground is wet and the sun is rising onto a clear sky.

Caitlan likes to call my “Magnus” Coneflowers, “Dead Daisies”, which are starting to peak.

  1. Gorgeous photos. Are you using a tripod?

  2. No. I often use a monopod, but not here. I grew up using Kodachrome 25 and thus practice in the art of holding the camera steady at low speeds. Of late, my close-ups are base on limited focus, and more evident in the last picture I am trying to get a couple of points in the focal plane.

I also carry a piece of carpet to lie or knee on, to be comfortable, when I make the shot.

Other than cropping and a light adjust, I do not do any “photoshop” either.
