House Birds’ Nest

On the house we have 4 nests and I think the last robin has not moved out.  I have two nest down, one that house a robin (by the front door) and the other by a Vireo (but I have forgotten which sub-species).  It is interesting to see how the Vireo’s nest (top left) has used a greater use of dirt-mud, uses the dried leaves from my daylilies and physically larger, even though it is a smaller bird than a robin.

I think the Vireo may have had 6 off-spring and I can only recall 4 for the robin.
